Description
Since I'm holding my first official playtest of The Shadow of the Dog Lord Roleplaying Adventure Game this Saturday, I figured I may as well start doing some pictures of the main characters, allies, enemies, some maps of the land, etc so that people can get a thorough understanding of what exactly this world is.
Learning some Anglo-Saxon writing was a cakewalk, but making the calendar will take a while
Anyways, here is a newer take on the costumes for the Rebels of Dar-Koldor. I wanted these guys to have a classic "ranger-y" look to them, but to have their cloaks, etc to be really close to their bodies, so that nothing would get caught on a branch, enemy spikey weapon, etc. This particular design actualy was inspired by the new Quidditch robes that were worn during the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film that I thought looked really neat.
I wasn't too happy with the way the sword turned out until I coloured it...it was suppsed to be a big wide sword with two fullers down the blade. I really like the red and gold colouration...it makes for a slightly more noble and regal weapon.
And I realised that I forgot to make the standard Tar-Koldor basket handle on the sword, so I coloured their trousers in a lovely blue-green to connect them to the Wolf Empire, the sister kingdom of Dar-Koldor.
I'll post more drawings later during the week, as well as higher quality and better resolution versions of my maps (since I discovered that Kinko's will scan them for me for a small price).
Cheers!
The Shadow of the Dog Lord Roleplaying Adventure Game and all related names, places, events, etc are all copyright me,

Fery nice mate. Nice idea with the cloak, although it now looks more like a sleeveless greatcoat (e.g. like Aragorn's coat in the FotR film, but without sleeves). That said, maybe a duster or other type of greatcoat would be the way to go? It'd still retain a degree of the classic ranger look, while still being different, and would look a bit like a more medieval version of the frock coats worn by some of your PotC-inspired Georgean/Victorian-esque pics
