Tar-Koldor Battle-mage

To counter the ever-increasing threat of the Secret Police of Lord Fenrir of Dar-Koldor, the Wolf Empire began revamping its own warrior-magician programs, and battle-mages became a common sight on the fields of battle.

The astute among you will notice that his wand is a lot longer than normal magic wands and sports a typical rapier handle carved from wood. This is not a mistake. In order to further make spellcaster balanced in The Shadow of the Dog Lord Anthropomorphic Fantasy Roleplaying Game, I decided to make the countering of spells a Reflex-based action, rather than a Spellcraft one, since this will require spellcasters to increase attribute and reactions they may not have otherwise intended to, making it so their spellcasting remains balanced. Imagining this, I saw the rolling of the Reflex reaction almost like how a Jedi uses his lightsaber to block oncoming blaster shots, so I made the wand, which they would use to block spells longer and gave it a fencing handle. Some mages will sport knuckle bows on their wand handles...I just forgot to ink that part.
